The Ohio Law Enforcement Torch Run will be held Sunday, June 22 - Friday, June 27, 2008. Law enforcement officers will run or bike the torch from seven different starting points across Ohio to the Opening Ceremonies of the State Summer Games while raising funds and public awareness of Special Olympics Ohio. All officers are encouraged to raise a minimum of $25 to participate.
The Torch relay will start in seven different cities Each leg is coordinated by a Leg Leader who is responsible for the logistics and is a contact person for that leg. Listed below are the Leg Leaders and contact information for each person.

The Final Leg takes place on Friday, June 27, 2008. The legs convenene in Columbus and officers join together at the State Highway Patrol Academy to carry the torch to the Opening Ceremonies of the State Summer Games.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest grass roots fundraiser for Special Olympics internationally. Last year over 1,300 men and women participated in the Torch Run for Special Olympics Ohio. The Torch Run and surrounding year-round events genereated more than $300,000 for Special Olympics Ohio in 2007.
